I came across this lovely video from the guys at The Perennial Plate. It’s their journey of over three weeks in India all combined into this one lovely video.
Watching this video made me ask myself – How come we don’t see Indians coming up with similar stuff?
After a little thinking it seemed to all add up. Everyone knows only too well how differently people react to a foreigner with a camera over an Indian with one. You are more likely to get a better response if you are from another country trying to shoot a video of a goat walking down a road compared to the same being done by the guy or girl next door. This is hard reality. Walking around with a camera in most cities in India is likely to land you in more trouble than robbing a bank will. In the present scenario, it is really hard to point the camera around taking pictures without raising considerable doubt in the people around you. There is always the added risk of being robbed! A friend got robbed in Calcutta and ended up losing all of his equipment apart from cash and valuables.
Most of us, photographers would love to make a short video on the country that is India. However, it is just unfortunate of what lies in store.
Great Post!
Thanks a lot !
Love this! Very well captured!
Wow that was unusual. I just wrote an really long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up. Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again. Anyway, just wanted to say superb blog!
Today, while I was at work, my cousin stole my iphone and tested to see if it can survive a twenty five foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
Whoa! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a entirely different topic but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Great choice of colors!
